Re: COVID-19 – CEO Update – March 17, 2020
First, I want to assure you that, in the midst of the fast-changing actions of governments, companies and populations, we are doing all we can to protect the health and safety of our employees. We continue to stay on top of pandemic news, to reach out to our businesses and to publish best practices for the workplace. At the same time, our managers – including those responsible for multiple regions – are demonstrating thoughtful leadership, while our employees are responding conscientiously.
Second, I want to inform you that we are working around the clock to keep our factories operating without interruption. Granted, we do not have control over borders or truck lines or local restrictions on movement, but we are attempting to ensure that our supply, manufacture and shipment of goods will continue without disruption for the foreseeable future. To that end, we have drafted multi-layered contingency plans for our manufacturing facilities. We are also reaching out to our supply chain partners, logistics brokers and transportation companies to anticipate, and work around, any potential impediments that might restrict the flow of goods or services on which we depend or to which we contribute.
Third, I want to thank you for your cooperation and professionalism through all of this. Our managers are showing creativity, compassion and flexibility in coping with issues that change every day. Similarly, our employees are taking the advice of health professionals seriously, while showing commitment and enthusiasm for our common good. I am proud to be associated with our global AMVAC team. If anyone can get through these times, we can.
